The UN is where the dream of a united world comes an inch closer to reality. It is a forum of discussion, for conflicting countries to come an inch closer to understanding. It is the sum of all of these inches that makes the UN as important as it is, in a world that needs togetherness more than ever. Bayan Model United Nations (BayMUN) aims to cultivate the value of togetherness in all of its participants.
The BayMUN conference brings almost 600 students from across the Island and from abroad. By creating the most authentic MUN experience in the Kingdom of Bahrain, BayMUN VIII United students from more than 23 public and private schools. Diverse councils allow participants to gain analysis skills required for understanding, which will ensure constructive debate. With challenging issues raised, participants are encouraged to truly explore their perspective and other perspectives as well.
BayMUN VIII has been affiliated by the Hague International Model United Nations (THIMUN) regulations and standards making the conference the first THIMUN-accredited MUN conference in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This has put Bahrain on the map, as one of the few countries in the Middle East to host a THIMUN-affiliated MUN conference. This has also took us a step closer to achieving the Bahraini 2030 Vision, as BayMUN countries to stimulate the youth of Bahrain intellectually.
IB Biology Juniors participate in an ongoing research project that involves a working field trip to Cyprus that usually occurs in the spring or summer of every year. Students travel to Cyprus, VA to record data and explore the ecology of the Chesapeake Bay habitats, including the salt marsh, mud flats, freshwater runoff creek, barrier island, and ocean shoreline. Human impact on the area is also part of the study program. Participation in the research project will satisfy the IB requirement in numerous ways.

Through the use of modern strategic development methodologies, we are able to capitalize our resources, in a way that allows us to deliver problem-oriented programs. We start with problem-oriented ideas, use research to come up with possible solutions and then implement these programs. Hence we end up with a set of finished products and services. We provide services that form leaders i.e. we work on individuals. As intangible as our work may seem, we constantly witness results with a positive ripple effect on the community at large.
Experience: We have run and currently are running successful programs in and outside of Jordan. Our experiences over the past 18 years in training and organizational development stemmed from our service provision with public and private agencies. We closely work with governmental bodies and private bodies such as the KAFD (King Abdullah II Fund for Development) and Arab Bank. We have established a professional reputation for executing tasks in a timely manner. Through our objectives, methodologies and implementation our staff is capable of enhancing individuals’ analytical and leadership skills during our training sessions.
Explore a range of well-known American college and universities on this informative tour of New England and the mid-Atlantic region. Beginning in Boston and ending a week later in Washington, DC, students will visit two colleges each day. Along the way, they will receive advice directly from admission officers, current college students, and TS College Tours counselors. This program provides participants the opportunity to visit prestigious, highly selective colleges as well as a range of many other renowned schools. In addition, this program offers sightseeing stops at Times Square in New York and the National Mall and Smithsonian in DC.
Leaving the classroom for a field trip places the kids in a different social environment. They encounter a new set of experience during the course of the average field trip. These interactions teach them how to behave in different settings. They employ more self-control because it is a less contained environment than the classroom. It fosters a sense of teamwork and community among the students as they experience a field trip together.
Generally speaking, field trips take the book learning from the classroom and extend it to life. Students often question the importance of topics they study in class. Particularly for older students, can answer the question of how learning can be applied in life. For example, a field trip to a bakery proves that measurement and chemistry apply beyond the science classroom. There are also plenty of opportunities to incorporate the field trip experience back into classroom activity after returning to school. Through presentations, slide shows and answering questions, the kids can instill the lessons garnered on the field trip.
