The Bayan Library is a place for you to learn and explore. Let us help you embark on an amazing adventure to discover your passion! - We are open from 7am – 3 pm Sunday through Thursday. We have thousands of resources available for students and staff alike -
The Bayan Library works school wide to support student learning goals in both the English AERO curriculum and the Arabic National curriculum. In addition to a computer lab and A/V room, the library offers electronic databases, local and international periodicals and newspapers, research assistance, SAT Prep books, a growing eBook collection, and nearly 40,000 print books.
During the school year, seating areas received an upgrade to provide comfortable spaces for reading and studying. New book displays were added to the circulation area, making it easy for patrons to quickly see new book arrivals. New work stations were installed and iPads are now available for patrons to use in the library for email, research and catalog searches. The library portion of the Bayan Website was revamped and the library Google Class application was introduced to provide an additional portal to our vast resources. Library staff attend training to upgrade catalog skills and improve our ability to support classroom learning through curriculum tag searches. Most significantly, the Bayan Library conducted a full inventory and removed many out of date and worn books. This allowed for a strong foundation to begin revitalizing the collection with the most recent fiction and non-fiction titles from a variety of local and international vendors.
During the school year, the library hosted an Arabic Book Fair, English Book Fair, and Primary Book Week. All events were a great success with students enjoying the selection of books from local vendors during the fairs. In addition we are finalizing, in collaboration with academic staff, various after school activities that are aimed towards enhancing student academic skills in the coming semesters. As we move into the future, we look forward to the continued evolution of the Bayan Library as a hub of learning."
