As we embark on a new academic year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the pillars that shape our educational journey.
At the Bahrain Bayan School, we have always recognized the significance of developing our local Bahraini teachers and through collaborative efforts with the Dr. May bint Sulaiman AlOtaibi Foundation (MAF), the Ministry of Education, and the private sector, we have implemented short programs to enhance their skills and expertise. By investing in our educators, we are investing in the future of our students.
Understanding that one of the greatest pillars in a student's well-being is deeply intertwined with their family's support, we prioritize the welfare of our students' families, particularly in times of hardship. Through collaboration with national insurance companies, we have established measures to support students in the event of family loss, ensuring their educational journey and psychological well-being remain uninterrupted.
An important pillar of education we firmly believe in is the continuous engagement of retirees within our school community. The “Estedamah for the Retirees” program on the sustainability of retirees highlights the invaluable contributions these individuals make and their ongoing involvement in various school functions, which enriches the learning environment for everyone.
Promoting social responsibility is another essential pillar of our educational philosophy. We strive to cultivate socially aware adults who understand the challenges our students may face and are equipped with the necessary tools to address them effectively. By fostering a sense of empathy and understanding, we create a nurturing environment that supports the holistic development of our students.
Identity and citizenship are core values that we instill in our students. Through various activities, such as family gatherings, exploring ancestral roots, and learning customs and traditions, we encourage our students to embrace their citizenship and national identity. These experiences foster strong bonds and a sense of belonging, which is a crucial pillar for personal growth and community cohesion.
Recognizing the importance of financial education, we are dedicated to developing financial literacy among our students. The school's Financial Literacy Committee is committed to integrating financial concepts and practices into our curriculum. Through this initiative, we aim to equip our students with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about managing their finances.
